Peacock  Hill Ranch

Where horses run free in pasture by day then eat and rest in private stalls and paddocks

Finally…September!  The ninth month begins with the Labor Day holiday weekend, summer vacations become cherished memories and school and fall events lie ahead. Better Breakfast Month, Fall Hat Month and Self Improvement Month are just a few of the celebrations commemorated in September. A few of the special days include National Grandparents Day (the 8th), Chocolate Milk Shake Day (the 12th) and International Talk Like a Pirate Day (the 19th)…argh!  September 22 is the first day of fall, the fall equinox, when the sun is exactly above the equator and day and night are of equal length.  We may still have summer-like weather, the need for sunscreen and remembering to hydrate for a little while longer, but as the days get shorter, before you know it, Halloween will be here.  Think cool, stay safe and happy trails y’all!

All Disciplines Welcome!

We welcome all disciplines of rider from Western to English (and everyone else in between).  In our large, beautifully lit arena, we've held clinics, group lessons, playdays and a dressage schooling show.  We even play horseball!  Comfort and fun are the priorities.

This video was shot in the Hansen Dam Reservoir on Big Tujunga Creek. It is dedicated to Royan Herman, all my friends at Peacock Hill Ranch, and Corral 20. Many thanks to Jim Ford and Richard Green for their beautiful work. And to the star, Kitty, who did it all for a bucket of grain and some carrots.

"Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of Solitaire. It is a grand passion."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Creature Comforts are our Priority

Sure, we specialize in horses, but we roll out the welcome mat for all kinds of critters.  Peacock Hill Inc. helps re-home abused, abandoned and BLM horses.  Please inquire if you are interested in adopting a horse.
